SKATE! Show by Forklift Danceworks that celebrates all that there is to love about the roller skating life. Inspired by the skaters who frequent Playland's weekly adult night, SKATE! will showcase all of the elements one might observe on a night at the rink- from ladies' choice to all-skate, men's speed skate to couple's backwards skate. The cast includes teens through adults (oldest skater is 71!) and includes local jam skaters, competitive figure skaters, and even a few rollergirls.

50th Annual Zilker Summer Musical- Beauty and the Beast. Disney's lavish stage musical about a strong-willed yet kind-hearted and misunderstood young woman, Belle, who breaks the spell that turned a handsome prince into a monstrous beast.

Horticulturists will speak on peppers and perennials, chefs will prepare foods using various kinds of peppers. Almost Patsy Cline Band will play on Friday night; Johnny Dee and the Rocket 88s will play on Saturday night. Hot air balloonists will have a balloon "glow" at dusk on Saturday.

Wildseed Farms is the largest working wildflower farm in the U.S. At its Hill Country headquarters, the farm has more than 200 acres under cultivation.

Concessions will be available, or patrons may bring refreshments. Audience members may begin placing blankets and low-backed beach chairs as early as 6 p.m. nightly. The show runs Thursdays through Sundays, June 28-August 9 at 8:30 p.m., weather permitting.
